Newman Plays

Utah Valley University completed a two-year project to develop and perform Suzan Zeder’s epic drama The Milk Dragon in 2014. The play had an initial staged reading at the University of Texas at Austin and a workshop and reading with NYU’s New Play Series at the Provincetown Playhouse.   Zeder made several visits to the UVU campus to explore innovative stagecraft that will make the staging of her ” impossible: play” possible.

The script was published in 2024 in a New York University anthology of plays developed through their Provincetown Playhouse New Play Series. This revised reading was presented at the 2024 AATE National Conference in Chicago.
